Why is my download speed so low?

Of course that is not an ISP problem unless you paid for a faster speed. Contact your ISP for your internet to be faster (sometimes that is not possible for a certain area, my ISP only limits me to .3mbps when I want it to be 5 or higher.) it will charge you more money for faster internet. Average would be 3mbps. The average america home is 7mbps. I was using AT&T before and it was limiting me to 0.3 mbps which is really slow. So I switched to SureWest and now I have 8mbps of internet. 3mbps is good for watching a live HD broadcast for 1 computer.
